In and Out: Opening up the Closet

In honour of National Coming Out Day on October 11th, the TQC is facilitating a discussion-lead seminar on Coming Out as LGBTQ+. We welcome you to share your personal experiences with coming out; or if you're still in, come to hear the experiences of others, ask questions, and voice your concerns. This seminar will be a safe space for all.

Workshop - Loving Your Queer Identity

As part of Self-Love Week 2017, hosted by Opirg Peterborough, the Trent Queer Collective will be presenting a workshop called "Loving Your Queer Identity".

The goal of this interactive workshop is to overcome internalized oppression and learn to love and value your queer identity, while learning self-love and care techniques. Internalized oppression can include homophobia, transphobia, and acephobia specific to the queer community, as well as racism, sexism, and ableism present in the greater community.

This workshop is open to all people who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, pansexual, transgender, queer, asexual, aromantic, intersex, two-spirit, non-binary, or questioning.
